Dr. Dmitri Stanchevici is a teaching assistant professor of English for Academic Purposes and coordinator of EAP 6110. Prior to joining the GWU EAP program in 2017, he was an associate professor of professional writing at the University of Memphis. His PhD from Texas Tech University is in technical communication and rhetoric; his BA from Moldova State University is in teaching English as a Foreign Language.
Professor Stanchevici has designed and taught numerous courses (both traditional and online) in professional writing, composition, rhetoric, and EAP.
Professor Stanchevici’s scholarly publications include articles in Health Communication and Journal of Technical Writing and Communication and his 2012 book Stalinist Genetics: The Constitutional Rhetoric of T.D. Lysenko.
